Chicken Biryani Recipe/

Chicken Biryani is a popular South Asian dish.. It is a flavorful and aromatic rice dish that is made with  rice, chicken, and a blend of spices.

Biryani is something I fell in love with in my teenage years because before that, I only used to eat aloo chawal. Aaloo chawal was a must for our family on Sundays because that was the only day we were off from school and could have some family time. For the whole week, we used to wait for Sunday to eat our delectable pot of aloo chawal with salads and raita. We all know what biryani means to us in South Asia. We all have our own version of biryani; some like to eat it with flavours while others prefer it plain. In Pakistan, beef biryani is popular, but in India, chicken biryani takes the lead. Indians do not eat beef or mutton due to their religious preferences, and that is fairly right, but that does not end there. Here are some folks who do not eat either beef or chicken biryani but like to eat their curried rice with fish and vegetables, and that happens only with South Asians. So not only with regions, but biryani preferences change due to personal taste as well. I have been fond of simple pulao in our own Desi style since my childhood. When I first started cooking, I used to make aloo chawal or mattar chawal, and that experience was very satisfying and filled with pleasure.Although most of the time I mess up terribly, that does not keep me from cooking something that I am absolutely in love with. I do not remember the first time I tasted biryani; maybe the time when I celebrated my birthday and my family prepared a whole homemade feast for friends and family or the time when I first started going to college and my family prepared a huge pot of biryani; by the way, that was the time when I was moving to college away from home,  my family prepared me a farewell meal.So whether it is a teary eyed farewell or celebratory meal, Biryani has something to satisfy all emotional needs. As you all know, freshly prepared biryani is a common and celebrated meal option in a desi household. That was also the case in our situation. On every important festival or holiday, our family used to ask, What would you like to eat? Without a second thought, we blurred out Biryani. That's how our love for biryani began. We are an unconventional family that does not conform to the norm. That is why we don't make biryani like everyone else. We have our own way,but that is not something special. In fact, everyone can cook and boast about their cooking skills by following this recipe. So here is how we make our not so conventional biryani.

Description

First, you have to take a large pot with two cups of cooking oil in which the rice does not get messed up.  then you can put onions in a large pan and stir fry chopped onions in cooking oil with a little sprinkle of cumin, as per your taste. When you see that the onions are getting brown in appearance, then you can add chicken to fry in the same oil as the onions. After the chicken changes its shape and texture, you can further add tomato paste to the spice mixture, along with yoghurt, imli, and lemons. The spice mixture includes salt, red chilli powder, and turmeric, which you should mix well with the chicken and fried onions. After 15 minutes, when the chicken with all the flavors of the spices is ready, add water twice as much as your rice quantity. As your water starts to boil, add the washed rice to it and wait for all the water to be absorbed before your dish is ready to serve. Just make sure there is no water remaining in rice. To enhance your appetite made salad and raita to go with biryani and you are good to go.
